Equivalent doses Thyroid S / Levothyroxine please

Hi all

Am currently on 100mcg of T4 (Eutroxsig) daily.

With Thyroid S tablets what would be an equivalent dosage please?

1 grain contains 38mcg T4 and 9mcg T3 which is equivalent to 65mcg T4.

I would reduce Eutroxsig to 50mcg and add 1 grain Thyroid-S. Two weeks later you could stop Eutroxsig and add another 1/2 grain Thyroid-S.

Don't know about equivalent doses but start low and build up over a few weeks DO NOT do a direct swap as this can be disastrous as the T3 tends to be too much for your system to handle.

Thanks Glynisrose. I'll start slowly. Am really hoping I get some improvement with Thyroid S. Fingers crossed👍🏻

for me...it was 1.5 grains...I took 1 grain split into two doses for several weeks , then increased to .75 twice a day...thenafter about 2 mths I was able to take all at once in the morning.....but at first I got a buzz bec my body had to get used to the t3 ......nice to take it all at once now...
