Gastro guy....

Hi, I wanted to ask advice but also to ask if others have had the same... I put up my Thyroid and latest blood tests and folk on here advised... That was great as it showed low ferritin... I went to see this gastro doc today, who said, so all was ok with his blood test (I'd had his a nd the thyroid guys done same time!)... Thyroid is ok everything else apart from your vit D which most are low in blah blah... But you are going up in weight!... So I said, well actually my thyroid is under medicated because the guy keeps trying to take t3 which I've only been on under a year, and is working.. And my ferritin is not optimum but I'm working on it.... He was dismissive and just said we found a Hernia and you have tablets for that.. I'm so angry at his attitude and this after I wrote and said that people are (him) more visual than professional and that I know I'm over weight I'm not daft, doctors need to work out what's causing it and why we feel so awful... Instead of assuming you sit and stuff cakes all day!! I go to another hospital in London and their attitude is, how do we get to the bottom of this and make you well... It's marvellous... Can I get moved to another hospital or doc? How does anyone else deal with these things.... Thanks

Thank you Shaws... This guy is a Gastro Guy I see another idiot for the Endo bit! It's another Gastro guy I'd probably need to see... I expect you have to go back to GP and start again, if the GP was on my side... Also, like the PA Society are there any groups for Thyroid folk? I'm a paid up member of the PA one... I've ordered the books Susie suggested Peatfield and the Thyroid Scandal one, but would love to speak to someone? Thanks as always Jo 😊 x
