Tingling scalp

Hi I'm on a 100 level a day. The last few weeks I've been getting tingling in my scalp. Changed my shampoo and conditioner 3 times. No dandruff scalp is clear. It's driving me crazy. Anyone else experience this. Thanks

Possibly neuralgia.

I used to get it, just reminded me reading this. Have you had your B12 tested only I've not had it since my B12 deficiency has been treated.

Tingling scalp is also a symptom of thyroid hormone overdose. If you have recently increased T4, it is a consideration. Try your best to get your Dr. to change your medicine to a T3/T4 combination, like Armour or Naturethyroid. I know of the tales that are out there in the Big Pharma world against Armour, etc. But if the Dr.s keep hearing the requests, they just may begin to listen. Here in the states, Armour has been used effectively for OVER 100 years, so says the Food and Drug Administration (ad nauseum). Not that they are a good reference - but there is a reason anything has been around that long!

It works.

Wishing you well.

I've had it, it has gone after an effort on my behalf to sort out my vitamin levels and getting the right Levo does. Not sure which cured it, think it was the Vits as it never returned when I went out of range recently.

Weird sensations are one fo the worst things about being hypo in my opinion. Scary/nastiness that makes me doubt my body:(

Mine isn't tingling as such, more of a creeping sensation. The GP wasn't interested when I mentioned it. I am on treatment for low B12 as well as Levothyroxine for under active thyroid.

GPs are never interested in hair loss or scalp problems. Part of the problem is that the side effect of loads of medication can cause them but it is a sign they are missing that something is wrong.

Oooh, I have this too but it has gotten better over the last few days. I did some rooting around on here and someone suggested Nioxin Scalp exfoliator (thanks to whom ever that was!). It's certainly helped.

I had the itchiest scalp before meds got straightened out with correct dose. Made me crazy. Also some itchiness occasionally on arms or torso. no fun. When levels were normalized it stopped. Do you have any dry itchy spotches? I had a few ogf them as well. ugh I'm feeling you on this one! I had to wash my hair less so that my scalp would tend to have developed it's own oil and that helped as well.

Weird, mine is tingling as I read these posts! However it's not unpleasant, quite nice actually, like I have a stimulating headband on. Other times it feels like little tingles running up the back of my head. I thought it was just body getting used to Levo again after being off it for a while. I'll keep an eye on it
