Hello,

Just wondering if any one has seen any good nhs endocrinologists who are based at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary who prescibes T3.

I am currently seeing a consultant in Halifax who has prescribed me T3 but won't go on my symptoms even though my T3 and T4 are below range.

Any suggestions?

Many thanks x

Hi ,

I don't think the particular one I see does Huddersfield but I don't particularly seem to get any where with him so fancy seeing someone else if they listen to us!

I saw one at Huddersfield who was patronising and of no use when I asked what could be causing my symptoms if my TSH was normal. After many months and the addition of vitamins I improved without the increase in levo I was wanting. I did see a Calderdale based endo at the Spire who was very thorough and willing to prescribe Armour but in the end I stuck to levo.

Did you go private to see the one at spire or was it though NHS ?

I think i am seeing the same one you have seen at Spire.

Then went on to his nhs list at Calderdale - this was the only way I could get referred by paying private.

He did prescribe me armour but felt no better so now on T3 as well as Levo.

I've felt terrible though since the change and the ending says my tsh is fine so won't change the dose again.

Out of interest what vitamins did you take ?

A pack from UniVite of six pills/ capsules for the 50 plus.I also take xtra vit C with the levo.
