Zuzka1 I use apple cider vinegar (ACV) for low stomach acid, Betaine HCl didn't do it for me but I'm fine with ACV. I take it before my main meal.
It's supposed to have a lot of health benefits, there are loads of links you can read if you Google Apple Cider Vinegar Health Benefits.
You can certainly take it but make sure you buy unfiltered organic ACV with 'Mother' like this one ethicalsuperstore.com/revie...
The 'Mother' is the important bit, it settles in the bottle so you need to shake it before using.
It does taste very acidic (but not like vinegar you put on chips) so you probably won't want to drink it neat. A more pleasant way to take it is to dissolve some honey in warm water (to suit your own taste), cool it down then add the ACV, drink through a straw to protect tooth enamel. Start with a small amount (say a teaspoonful, or maybe half) and build up gradually to a tablespoonful. I use about a teaspoonful of honey in half a mug of water and add a tablespoonful of ACV.
just a personal experience on the keto diet - yes, it works in terms of fat loss, I've seen also great reduction on cholesterol levels. However, in my case it put stress on the kidneys (urea and creatinine), so take into consideration existing issues or monitoring if going in that direction.
There are different ways of going about it. But we are all unique individuals genetically with different environmental exposures. For most people it should be fine and helpful in improving health. Its challenging to do, though.
The Perfect Health Diet or Paleo Diet are not as extreme and can have many benefits, too.
I 'm not aware of loosing weight, but it did improve my digestion. Make sure you get an ACV with the probiotic culture in the bottle. & give it a gentle shake. Take a few teaspoons in a little water, about half an hour before you eat. That should improve your absorption of nutrients, & hopefully your gut bacteria. It makes a lovely salad dressing, or dip with olive or walnut oil.
It works for me. Apparently, it can be any type of vinegar but I take my tablets with a glug of vinegar every day and it really seems to counteract my sluggish digestive system and help with weight loss. I understand that it doesn't work for everyone.
