I have never been told why I have an under active thyroid. can I still be tested after twenty odd years of taking thyroxine? I know this sounds silly but I when I was first diagnosed it was not spoken about as much as now we didnt have Internet. thank you

veryangirl44 I was diagnosed over 40 years ago and I don't know what caused mine. I do know that it's not autoimmune as I've had four antibody tests over the years and they've always been very low. I'm not sure there is a test that will tell us the cause if it's not autoimmune.
