Leahcollett3 Is this the doctor you told us was happy to get your TSH to 1 in your last thread? Are you on 75mcg or 100mcg now? How do you feel now?
If you want to know your Ft4 and Ft3 and they won't do it, you'll have to get a private fingerprick test. I did a basic one last week with Blue Horizon, just TSH, Ft4 and Ft3 and it was £49
hey, unfortunately no, the dr who said will treat my symptoms is now off as he broke his wrist so i have another doctors who just said i was fine bascially. im now on 100mcg and i feel better. when i wok out i feel like i have the energy to complete my workout regardless of what time it is, so thats something special isnt it. the only thing i would say thats a debbie downer, is my weight and also my hair. i did think that with trying to lose i would lose like a normal person now, however this isnt the case. and my hair is so thin and coarse
Oh that's disappointing about the doctor, just when you'd found one who would listen
As for your hair, have you had your vitamins and minerals tested? Low ferritin can cause hair thinning so I'm wondering if your level is optimal?
If you haven't had them done, see if the doctor will do
B12
Vit D
Folate
Ferritin
If not then Blue Horizon do them. The Thyroid Plus 11 does everything thyroid-wise and all those vitamin and mineral tests.
It sounds as though you are doing better now, how long have you been on 100mcg? It could be that you need to give it more time, the full effects of a dose increase usually take about 6 weeks. You're doing well to work out so yes, that's something special
