Does anyone know

Does anyone know what specialist prescribes besides Methimazole when she says there is no bump on Thyroid at all, and that everything looks good, she wants to keep me on 1/2 of 5 mg once a day of Methimazole, and something else, just can't remember what it was called. But she wants to have me on Methimazole for a year with a mixture of something else starting next month.... Wonder what that other medicine will do...she was going on now that I didn't get to ask questions.. Ugh! Thanks any comments welcomed. I don't see her again till next month..and she won't call me back to answer questions. Thanks so much.

Sarajuarez2912,

Sorry, no idea what your specialist might be considering prescribing in addition to Methimazole.

Methimazole is an oral medication used to treat hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid). It works by preventing the thyroid gland from over-producing thyroid hormone. Methimazole is also used before thyroid surgery or radioactive iodine therapy. You can read more here internationaldrugmart.com/m...
