In my quest to decipher symptoms and work out what to do next, I’m focussing in another long standing symptom!
Does anyone else get a strange, spacey feeling? Ie, I feel like I’ve had a glass or two of wine.. like not drunk but as if my brain isn’t keeping up with my eyes! Onbad days it almost feels a bit like I’ve got blinkers in, or I’m inside a fish tank.
Ridiculous I know!! It’s really hard to describe and when I’ve tried to describe it to a gp in the past, they’ve looked at me like I’m mad! I don’t blame them tbh! 😂
Just wondering, as I say I’m desperately trying to pin my remaining symptoms to something, high levo, low levo or something different altogether!

At worst I used to be talking to someone and it was as if they were slipping into the distance and I couldn't focus or think straight. A conversation was exhausting and left me even more spaced out....that may have been low T3 in the brain which needs a lot of the hormone. I knew nothing about thyroid stuff back then...and clearly neither did my GP.
This eventually cleared but not sure if it was hypo (low T3) or low B12 or both ...or more
B12 needs to be high in range...."slightly below" isn't enough
Copied this from another reply!
"B12 is a bit on the lower side according an extract from the book, "Could it be B12?" by Sally M. Pacholok:
"We believe that the 'normal' serum B12 threshold needs to be raised from 200 pg/ml to at least 450 pg/ml because deficiencies begin to appear in the cerebrospinal fluid below 550".
"For brain and nervous system health and prevention of disease in older adults, serum B12 levels should be maintained near or above 1000 pg/ml."
As I said in my reply to dippy, I’m aware I’ve already posted along similar lines but I just wanted to get peoples thoughts while it was fresh in my mind (or not, as the case may be!)
I have started on the Igennus so hoping that might increase the folate a bit. I’ve been supplementing with b 12 and the H&b complex since feb.
I will have Vit D retested although I am hoping that it’s jow looking quite healthy as it wasn’t especially low before and I’ve been using the d+mk2 spray all summer and still do. ☺️
Is there any chance that you could have been experiencing a Hashi flare & therefore be temporarily over range in terms of your T3?? You say it’s a longstanding symptom but does it come & go? I have noticed a few times that I can be looking for an item on shelves in a shop and although my eyes can see them, my brain can’t keep up and process what I’m seeing. I have trouble focussing on what’s in front of me. I worked out that it corresponded with high T3 after a flare or when I first started adding T3 in and wasn’t used to it. (The other odd symptom I’ve noticed is a sweet taste in my mouth (blood sugar levels are normal) and again this seems to be when my T3 is too high.)
