Thyroid and gluten free

Hi, I replied to a post yesterday which has been deleted - but I wanted to just add on here that the lady in question wasn't given correct advice from her Endo .

You need to be eating gluten for 6 weeks, daily, to have an accurate antibody result.

I'm Coeliac and have Hashimotos. The 2 are so closely linked.

Sorry if this has been said many a time before...! Thanks x

Faquestions,

Thanks for posting. Too often we see doctors tell patients to eat gluten for a couple of weeks prior to testing and, as you say, it needs to be a minimum of six weeks.
