meeshaldridge It's hard for anyone to give any advice with so little to go on.
Do you have any thyroid test results you can post so members can see if your dose is optimal or if you are under medicated or maybe not converting T4 to T3 well enough. Vitamin and mineral levels are important too so it would be a good idea to have those tested.
What is ideally needed is
TSH
FT4
FT3
TPO antibodies
TG antibodies
B12
Vit D
Ferritin
Folate
If your GP won't do these you can get them done privately with a fingerprick blood test through Blue Horizon bluehorizonmedicals.co.uk/T... . Post any results (with reference ranges) in a new thread for members to comment.
Stress can cause a problem with adrenals and holy basil may or may not be the right supplement to help, not everyone does well with it. You can get a 24 hour saliva adrenal stress test through Genova via Thyroid UK thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/testin... . Thyroid and adrenals work together.
My GP definitely won't do. He's not interested. Thanks for the advice. I know stress is completely detrimental to my condition but teaching in a Pupil Referral unit, it kind of comes with the territory and I'm the main earner in our relationship with a mortgage. I'll get the tests done through the places you suggested and start from there. My GP is only blood testing me once a year so I have some previous printouts but nothing up to date. I've been neglecting myself due to my job to be honest. Thanks again xx

If you're anything like me you just won't have the energy or the savi to collect your test results, understand them or have the motivation.
I only ever get better, or be it never much better, if I reduce my daily stress. this may sound extreme but I think you may need a career change or do one to one tuition perhaps.
Good Luck
Having had fatigue and blurred vision myself this year and being diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes it is worth asking GP to check your blood glucose levels. I had no idea were mine were out and put the symptoms down to other issues. It may well be your thyroid but don't discount other obvious possibilties.
