Weebella,

You can order blood tests from Blue Horizon and Genova via thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/testin...

If you order one of home test finger prick kits you can do the tests yourself at home. If you want a test including rT3 you will need to see a phlebotomist for a venous blood draw.

Ty clutter this is all so confusing for me, I want everything tested to do with thyroid and vitamins , can you recommend which one I'd be better getting please x

Weebella Thyroid Plus Eleven will do all the thyroid tests, including antibodies, plus all the important vitamins and minerals including Vit D

bluehorizonmedicals.co.uk/T...

You can do it as a fingerprick test at home (microtainer) or order the vacutainer for a proper phlebotomist blood draw.

There is a Thyroid Plus Twelve that includes everything the Eleven does plus reverse T3 (not always recommended but choice is yours). The Plus Twelve must have a proper phlebotomist blood draw, it can't be done by fingerprick.

My link was for the Plus Eleven :)

Reverse T3 I don't fully understand. I've seen it said it is just a temporary thing, that it's not a particularly useful test. I've not looked into it myself so I can't really say. I've not had it done. People who do have high reverse T3 apparently need to go onto T3 only for a while to 'wash' the rT3 out. That's really all I know about it.

I think for now the Plus Eleven is what you need, link in my previous post above.

Mm I'm not sure of the benefit of having rt3 tested either. Dr Lowe seemed to think it was fairly inconclusive unless tested steadily over a 24 hr period.
