Crawford1961 Why is he saying no action if your FT4 is below range? How do you feel? What action would you like him to take?
Don't ever feel well but I also have pernicous anemia !! But just lately my hair seems to be thinning & putting on weight it's the 4th time my t4 has come bk below range but as tsh is also low they say no action !!
Crawford1961 Looking back at your older posts, this seems to be an ongoing problem with you repeatedly having under range FT4. I assume you're still not any any medication.
Are you seeing the same GP all the time? If so, can you see a different GP in your surgery? You could ask to be referred to an endo as it's clear that your GP doesn't seem to think that below range FT4 is of any significance. Ranges are there for a reason and you would assume that doctors would actually take notice of them. It's time, I think, for you to become assertive and push your GP to do something otherwise you will continue to be in the same position - unwell and with a doctor who is happy to keep you there.
Did you take note of the suggestions made in one of your older threads healthunlocked.com/thyroidu... and discuss anything with your GP or try any of the suggestions?
Seen several doctors at my surgery but none of them seem concerned about it
It looks as though you will have to be more assertive then. My advice in previous post still stands. Take someone with you for moral support, who can speak on your behalf if necessary.
Have a look back at that older thread of yours that I linked to, you had a lot of suggestions there and you haven't said whether you have done anything about them.
Ask to see an Endo. Your T4 is below the range - that is not normal. Look up the Thyroid UK site and find the ranges which explain your results and suggest hypothyroidism and say you need to be seen by a specialist.
