T3 again

I have recently contacted the Pharma regarding my weight gain. Nothing to do with what goes in my mouth. Then have't come back to me.

I take 30mcg T3 daily. tablets are usually hard to break. But, the recent batch I can just break it in half by hand. still gaining weight. What can i do next.

Post your labs, with ranges, and let's have a look. Not point in guessing in the dark.

Have you had your vit D, vit B12, folate and ferritin tested? Nutritional deficiencies will also make it hard to lose weight.

Hi greygoose

Thanks. Vit B12 422 (180-900) Folate 4.3 (3.0-20.0) thats all they didn't do T3 it's like getting blood out of stone.

Didn't they do TSH even?

Your B12 is too low, you need to supplement 5000 mcg sublingual methylcobalamin daily for a couple of months, then reduce to 1000.

Your folate is much too low! Take a B complex with a decent amount of methylfolate to bring it up.

It they are low, your vit D and ferritin are probably low, too. So, best to get them tested. Nutritional deficiencies can cause a lot of symptoms!

Afaghieh How do you manage to break a T3 tablet in half by hand? They're so tiny. I need to use a pill cutter or sharp knife. What brand do you use?

Hi susie

I use to break it by knife but this new batch you can crush it with no effort that's why I feel it's fake.

Afaghieh Would you mind sending me a PM with the details - brand and supplier. I do supply details by PM when members ask and I'd like to make sure it's not one of the suppliers whose details I pass on. I'm fairly confident it isn't because they are reliable and recommended, but I'd just like to check.

Why can't you just say which T3 do you use with such large tablets which you can divide in half by hands? It's not prohibited just to name the brand (not supplier).
