Yup, mine returned a month ago. I wouldn't say it's as bad as a normal sore throat, but it can alter my voice and made me rip off my CPAP mask in my sleep.
I know it's summer but even in summer people catch colds and so have cold symptoms.
You should however be concerned if you keep having colds in summer (or even in winter) and you are not working in an environment e.g. with children where you will catch them.
After just having said to my husband that I have a sore throat I have just read your post. It must be a summer thing, but certainly not a cold. I'm going to have Strepsils and hope it goes quickly. Hope yours does too. It's definitely been coming for a couple of days.
The most common cause of a sore throat is cold viruses.
As it's been raining a lot and people are more susceptible to cold viruses in wet weather, that's my first thought.
However as someone who had years of sinus infections keep a record of it as if you go to the doctor, you have to prove to them you aren't in fact suffering from just "another" cold.
myself and my family have had a virus, mostly a sore throat that comes and goes, generally feeling lethargic lasted 2 weeks or more. I was a bit concerned until i learned others have had the same.
