Hello,
I find this link very interesting because I was taking 25mcg of levothyroxine and I was pregnant 2 weeks later too. But I feel my dose was too low so I miscarried.

OP,
Interesting article but pregnancy and Hypothyroidism is dealt with as per NICE guidelines which refer to keeping TSH within 0.4–2.0 mU/L and an FT4 concentration in the upper reference range.
I am with you on this matter as consider thyroid antibodies to have consequences on conception in some woman. I was lucky but read again and again about the connection between miscarriage and not only a high TSH but a high TPOAb and//or TGAb level.
Yes I am not considered hypothyroid or hyperthyroid. However, my endocrine NHS specialist says these antibodies are associated with increased miscarriage risk.
I agree. I've had 7 miscarriages and my last was the worst at 12 weeks (nhs have never investigated why i have had so many)happened 2 weeks after me stopping thyroid meds. I was self medicating and had no idea about having to keep taking them during pregnancy. I stopped as I thought taking them may harm the baby when infact stopping them did.
Hidden im so sorry to hear this. 12 weeks 😢. Are you considered hypo ? Or do you have the antibodies and normal thyroid levels? I'm surprised you haven't been refereed to miscarriage clinic?
I've had about 6 miscarriages. But only started taking meds now I've kind off been diagnosed
Sorry to hear that 6 is a lot also, hopefully things will work out for you now you are medicated properly and you can demand the dose is upped. I do have 3 lovely kids. I haven't been diagnosed yet. I had a test after my 2nd child in 2007 which came back normal. So i carried on thinking i must just be run down. Then after my 3rd in 2010 I got really ill and my Gp wouldn't test me. I started to self medicate on levo and felt better. Never took it again after the 12 week miscarriage. I had a basic thyroid test done recently (about 8 weeks ago) privately which showed my levels of t3 and t4 were well below range. I started self medicating again this time with ndt. I am unsure about antibodies but ordered a private intensive test today. So hopefully will find out soon. I do think I display symptoms of hashimotos though and have done since my teens. I may be wrong though.
