Timings for blood test (tsh levels)

As i take my meds (levo) at night (10.30pm ish) - what would be a good time on the following day to have bloods taken to review tsh levels? Used to take in morning but works better for me to take meds just before bed. Many thanks.

You can miss this night-time dose and get test next morning. You can either take dose after test as well as in the evening, or you can miss a.m. dose and then continue as usual p.m. I am assuming you take levothyroxine. Some people take their week's dose once weekly!

TSH is highest early in the morning and drops throughout the day.

Arhh thankyou was getting all confused with timings before for tests. All clear now - much appreciated.

I generally miss out the night time dose and go for blood tests the next morning its easy enough to take meds after instead of before. Or refuse blood tests, say you have another appointment you have to keep. You do not have to explain.

Thanks will miss the night dose - it's my request for bloods like to keep on top of meds.

Its not 100% that the blood tests mean anything. I do not say this lightly but doctors don't usually do the right tests. They stick to TSH like glue as though its the only test that proves anything, it doesn't its not even to measure thyroid hormones, its a pituartary test.
