I am currently taking 150mcg Levothyroxine, but still have many symptoms of hypothyroidism. I cannot lose weight despite dieting, feel tired, have chronic aches and pains in my limbs and joints, and have severely swollen ankles and hands, etc. My GP wouldn't prescribe T3 medication, when I last saw him, because, "they won't do T3 blood test."
I now really think that I should try T3 or Natural Dessicated Thyroid to see if there can be an improvement in my health with one or the other. Can someone PLEASE message me as to where I can obtain either of the above? Additionally, can anyone recommend a good practitioner who I make an appointment to see, and who will prescribe these medications?

Thank you for this Shaws. I note that Dr Lowe recommends Thyro-Gold. I have never heard of this before. I know you cannot recommend a product, but I seriously need some guidance here, if you can help.
Thyro Gold was actual invented by Dr Lowe himself, so that people didn't need a prescription, so it is really an over-the-counter product. His widow, Tammy, now deals with orders etc and it is made from New Zealand grass fed cows.
