Will my hair ever cease to be horizontal?

For years it has enjoyed reaching sideways and even upwards. Has anyone ever reached optimal medication and found their very dry hair returns to smooth? And is this, what in dogs would be called "staring hair", a sign that medication is not optimal?

Mine has a mind of it's own. Never know how its gonna be. I have to say though since increasing levo it did start to fall a bit but the actual condition has improved. I know what you mean about the staring hair. So depressing and lifeless

i tried ndt for several months but hated splitting the dosage and then had heart paps because of adrenal issues hence test showed my ft3 ft4 at top of range but tsh almost zero ....yet i will say....my hair came back to life almost silky.....i did use argan oil on it  and then flat iron but doing the same now since i went back on t4 only and my hair is a strawy dry ....i have to use alot of products and still it looks dry and almost damaged......and it wont hold color......

i must say shea butter castor oil shampoo and conditioner though works best with no sulfates ........i cant use any other shampoo or conditioner or it will be even worse......

i was surprised how soft it was on ndt, all of a sudden but thought it was the new hair oil i was using,....but now not that soft...in fact it was almost silky with the hair oil.....i wonder who else experienced this

My hair has a mind of its own I am sure. It can't decide if it's dry, greasy, staying or going. I think T4 mess make my hair come out too.

I apologise for that last post which didn't make sense, my autocorrect drives me mad!

I wish it was the 1980s again - my hair would fit straight in...

Yup, for those of us with curly hair Hashi's is especially cruel in an age when straight hair is the fashion. There's probably a bit of the malabsorbtion problem which is making it worse.

Strangers remember me by the halo of dry hair. If I ever conquer Hashi's I would be unrecognisable.

We'll get our glossy, manageable hair back Asp, we will.

Have you thought about going down the LDN route Aspmama?

No,I'm still struggling to get the levo/ndt right... what is your experience of this?
