My father had to go off his levo due to high bp. He is now on a diaretic and clonidine which seem to be working well for him, but he's off the levo totally.

Sorry cannot help with a lactose free pill.  Blood pressure problems often go hand in hand with thyroid issues.  Are you being optimally medicated ?  Any recent results with ranges ?

I am on lactose free blood pressure medication called Diovan (Valsartan) capsules prescribed by GP.  Have had to go private though to get lactose free Levothyroxin Henning Brand which GP unable to prescribe.

Able to tolerate these well and would not wish to change as tried several other blood pressure medications previously and suffered with side effects. I also have Coeliac disease.

Thank you Katarina I will take this to my GP and try and get them.  i have been told by pharmacist that Lactose free thyroxine tablets are available and to ask my GP to write the following on the prescription LETHOTHYROXINE  GF,LF,SF 100mc CAPSULE . I don't know the supplier.  I am waiting for my GP to let me know if I can try them.  I will let you know.

Hallo Katarina

I have been told that Valsartan has been discontinued and wont be avaolable after July this year, another supplier told me it is generic now and they do not know any suppliers.  Would you let me know if your next prescription for Valsartan comes from a different supplier so that I can follow it up.

At the moment I am taking Candesartan with Lactose and a Lactase tablet together, this is working to a degree but I am still having prolems.

Junelily,

Thank you for update.

I'll request a repeat description and see what happens. Will let you know.

However, my prescription is written specifically for Diovan, no mention of Valsartan on the prescription, although packaging has it in brackets after Diovan. Hoping that it will still be available.

My GP has written a prescription for Valsarten for me I will let you know if I get it. Hopefully it will be at the Pharmacy today
