Jeschiotz,

I can't see where it says that there is calcium in it. If there is calcium in it you should take it 4 hours away from Armour.

Substances can interfere with thyroid hormones in several ways.

For example, iron and levothyroxine can bind together to form a stable, purple complex which will just pass through. This can occur not only if they are taken at the same time, but also if the iron can "catch up" with the levothyroxine in the stomach or gut, or vice versa.

It is widely suggested that most levothyroxine will be absorbed within two hours but this is not necessarily so. Hence we need to see a much wider gap between iron and levothyroxine than some other substances.

Other things have their effects in different places - maybe after absorption, in the bloodstream? When that happens changing the timing of the doses may well have little or no benefit.

jeschiotz,

The brand details that timed release is over a spread of 8 hours. If you take thyroid meds in the morning, could you not supplement this in the evening ?

Word of warning  ...   Soya is not advocated if you have Hashimotos but is contained within this formula.
