Bossbird, What a peculiar thing to say to a patient! TSH 0.02 is suppressed and FT3 12 means you were overmedicating T3 unless you made the error of taking T3 dose prior to your blood draw. FT4 will always be low when you are taking T3 only.

How much was T3 dose reduced when 50mcg T4 was added and how long have you been taking the combination?

I take 125 to 150 per day with no side effects if I take less feel off and my temp drops to around 35.2

Bossbird, unless you took T3 prior to your blood draw you were overmedicated whether you felt it or not. Elevated FT3 increases the risks of atrial fibrillation and osteoporosis so you should try to keep FT3 within range.

What is wrong with him?? bad choice of words, it would scare me if a doctor said that to me, anything he said after it would probably be a blur!! Sorry I cant offer any advice Im just chipping in with my opinion of his tact lol. good luck

I'm on T3 only. 40mcg at night. My endo says t4 reading is irrelevant if you are on t3 meds.

how do your bloods look to mine

TSH 0.02

T3 12

T4 <2 not sure if this means -2

TSH 0.3

FT3 3.4

FT4<3

He wouldn't increase my dose from 40mcg with these results though I am nodding off again in the afternoon at the moment. Those lovely words 'results suggest adequate replacement' - regardless of what the patient feels like.

I think you need more I have to up my dose by self medicating my endo knows and trusts me but will only tell my dr I'm on less as he is concerned that he could get into trouble with the gmc I'm suppose to take 40mcg 20, 20. That's not enough for me
