You haven't said where you live, so I'll assume you live in the UK.

It isn't possible to get any prescription-only medication in the UK without a prescription. It's illegal. The person supplying it to you would be committing an offence.

However, if you have a trustworthy source abroad you are allowed to import enough for your own needs or for a member of your household. Theoretically you aren't supposed to import more than three months worth at a time, but any official querying it wouldn't know how much you use in three months.

If you import you might be lucky and customs may ignore your parcel and it will be delivered as normal. But if they do stop your parcel and investigate they can and will charge duty/VAT (whichever is appropriate, I'm never sure of the precise terminology) if the cost of the product plus post and packing is over £15. The company delivering the parcel collect any customs payments that are due, and they also charge an admin fee for themselves for doing so. I could be out of date but depending on who is delivering that admin fee can be £8 - £12.

You can get NDT online without prescription. But to stay on the right side of the law (as far as the UK is concerned) the website must be based outside the UK.

I know, for example, that vitamin B12 injections are prescription only in the UK but you can buy them from websites in Germany where they are not prescription only.

For most of us, it is VAT rather than duty.

Duty of any sort is only applicable on a very small range of products - or if they are over £135.
