Grass fed bovine NDT

Hi all, can anyone advise where to get grass fed bovine NDT please? If possible in the UK? Thanks a lot!

The term Natural Desiccated Thyroid is usually reserved to products of prescription-quality with clearly identified and controlled levels of thyroid hormone.

Any such product would not be legally on sale within the UK. And I am not aware or any full prescription products which are produced from bovine sources.

However, you might be referring to the nutrional supplements based on bovine thyroid with (usually) uncertain or no thyroid hormone content.

Hi, I already use Thiroyd from Thailand which is porcine thyroid but would like to change to grass fed bovine, preferably organic. I know NDT is usually via prescription in the UK and private doctors. Most won't prescribe it, hence I am researching. I've been using NDT for 8 mths and I feel so much better after 13 years of Levothyroxine. I am happier, I've lost weight, brain fog is gone and much more. I know not everyone agrees with it, for me though it is great. I can't afford a private doctor but I get my blood checked regularly with my NHS doctor. Take care!

ThyroGold is sold as a supplement as it doesn't declare how much active T4 and T3 it contains. The T4 and T3 is obtained from New Zealand grass fed cows. ThyroGold can be obtained from naturalthyroidsolutions.com... Tammy Lowe can probably tell you how much 300mg is equivalent to in NDT grains.

Is there nowhere in the UK that we can buy ThyroGold? Not only are the transport costs expensive from the US, we have to sign a disclaimer that Naturalthyroidsolutions are not responsible if the product gets lost in transit or held back and ... who knows... thrown in the bin by customs or we are charged another fee by customs and £18 admin fee by Royal mail!! Isn't there a petition or something we can sign to get NDT available through the NHS? Sorry but struggling single parent here, I spend a ridiculous amount on my health, I don't go on holidays because I spend all my hard earned money on my health, that I have none left and this for years now! I feel I'm just chasing my tail all the time, I don't know what to do

Unfortunately, it is very difficult indeed to get desiccated thyroid on the NHS, just as it is becoming difficult to get a T3 prescription in many areas.

The disclaimers you were asked to agree to are standard for international mail order, frustrating though it is.

No, ThyroGold is only available from Natural Thyroid Solutions. There is no reason why HMRC will chuck TG in the bin. if they hold it at all it is a few days while they assess it for VAT. The RM handling charge is £8.

Hi there, so sorry for the late reply, I didn't get a notification of this message for some reason! I currently bought Thiroyd from Amazon which comes from Thailand and is pig thyroid but I haven't seen any on there for months now so waiting for it to be available again i hope! intend to buy grass fed bovine ndt from cows which is very expensive but the better choice healthwise I think....
