Thyroid sugary
I found a few spoonfuls of natural yoghurt helpful when I was vomiting after surgery. A shower or hot bath might help with sleep. Try and rest as much as possible even if you cant sleep. Sorry not much help am I.
Hi. I'm sorry to hear you are suffering. I didn't suffer from the sickness but 7 weeks post I'm still awake late at night (but that might be me rather than post surgery).
Please try the suggestion of yoghurt or call your doctor or surgeon for advise.
You don't need to be going through this after such surgery especially on the throat.
Big hug & hope you feeling better soon
Could be completely unrelated. You might well have a stomach bug. As for not sleeping, you may need to wait until the hormones your thyroid used to produce have left your body and it's only the levo that you are taking that's governing your metabolism. How much are you being prescribed?
I don't sleep well after sugary drinks last thing at night. Try having it earlier and waiting a couple of hours.
Dont have sugary drinks, ever cut out sugar all together, I had a different kind of surgery and found that paracetamol made me sick. I drink rooibos tea, without milk and find it refreshing and it is full of antioxidents. It is very important once you get back on your feet to eat really healthy foods, cut out things that are purely empty calories, like sugars and some carbohydrates, stick to foods that are nutrient rich. There are loads of good books to help, I like the paleo approach by Dr Sarah Ballantyne there are others. Get well soon it does take a while to recover from any kind of surgery. ps there is loads of good advice on here about supplements etc. Hope you will soon be feeling better
In general any person after underone sugery may suffer loss of appetite and sleep and so on it is may be due to some psycological depression due to surgery. hence consult your doctor to rule out what I said and to draw a final prescription.
