Was your TSH high & after increasing Levo by 25mcg it’s now 0.08 & too low?
Was anything else tested? The TSH can be unreliable and isn’t a thyroid hormone.
The TSH is a pituitary hormone which tells the thyroid to increase or decrease - it not an accurate measure your thyroid levels are where they should be.
Was FT4 & FT3 tested? You need the results & lab range ( lab ranges vary, so always needed for each test)
An infection, being unwell can temporarily alter thyroid levels.
How did you feel? Do you think you needed and increase & did you feel better after increase or worse?
It takes at least 6 weeks for an adjusted dose to settle & you should test after 6 weeks on unchanged dose.
they increase it in the hospital to 125 it I guess it went up because I had that infection …. But now my doctor just checked it’s 0.08 is that to low I have lose weight but I feel fine my doctor said they was not suppose to raise my medication
yes t4 was normal
What is your normal?
It might be just within range - some feel well until FT4 top third of range & FT3 at least 50%. Was FT4 & FT3 tested?
When a doctors says “normal” it means what ever measure they are looking at is in range. & that might not mean you are normal at all it might just mean the TSH is just within range & FT3 hasn’t been tested.
1.11
Is this for FT3? or something else? What’s the range? It’s low by most FT3 ranges. but if it’s for something else is might be interpreted differently.
When you share results always state - what the test if for - with result & range eg usually shown in brackets.
X 1 (0 - 2)
ranges vary & if you don’t specify what the test is for it has no meaning. A single result doesn’t give a full picture. If you want to understand & track your results you need TSH, FT4 & FT3 from a single test.
You can't really tell much from just a TSH result. You need a full thyroid panel - TSH, FT4 and FT3. Many members here pay for private blood tests to get these results. Thyroid UK offer discount codes. thyroiduk.org/help-and-supp...
Have you recently had key vitamins tested - ferritin, folate, B12 & D3. We need OPTIMAL levels of these for our thyroid hormone to work well.
