Depends on your result ? Do you know what it was ?

Hi Marz does this make any sense 89 nmol/L for vit d results

For the link I gave you - which is a different measurement - you divide your result by 2.5 - which brings it to 35 ng/L. So you need at least 2500 IU's of D3. Also take some K2. I didn't reply lst night as I am 2 hours ahead here in Crete !

You could have looked on-line for the conversion - convertme.com Did you look at the link I posted above ?

Hello Marz Thank you! Enjoy Crete

NRV = Nutrient Reference Value

EC NRV = European Community Nutrient Reference Value

500 EC NRV = 500% of European Community Nutrient Reference Value

That is saying the NRV is a mere 5 micrograms (or 200 International Units). Which seems very low to me.

Sorry but I don't have any idea what your vitamin D level currently is. So making any comment on how much you need would be pure guesswork.

If you are just trying to keep where you are, then that seems not too unreasonable. If you are low and trying to get your levels up, then one tablet is very unlikely to be enough.

My result is similar to yours and after looking on the Vitamin D Council website I think I am in the high/normal range. They recommend 5,000iu's per (non sunbathing) day, which is most days in the UK!

This page will tell you what your results mean and if you scroll to the bottom will tell you maintenance doses.
