I'm on t3 only now, starting on 5 MCG a day and titrating up.

Since stopping t4 and t3 together, blood pressure has normalized, pulse still a bit high in the 80s and 90s but up about 125/ 80 down from 130s/90. Perhaps this I the way to go, any suggestions on how many weeks to stay at each increase? I have ordered a free t3 blood test from county pathology, and a standard tsh and t4 test from go as they don't do t3.

Fed up pulse still too fast on t3 only, about 97 last night was aware and felt wired, don't think t3 on its own works either, or in combination. Thinking of dessicated thyroid and trying that, think my cortisol is high that might explain high pulse,, either that or still t4 wearing off, but don't want to take higher dose of t3 in case feelings pulse worse. Feel depressed as hoped I'd tolerate it better. Would anyone recckmmend nutri adrenal to sort adrenals out first? I'm missing my 5mcg t3 dose this morning as have blood test gps, tomorrow and have t3 finger prick test on its way will see what results say, but prob all over place as I've changed doses so much recently, had bad headache last night.

Hi minus,

Are you splitting your t3 dose throughout the day or just taking it in one hit or 2 as you would t4 or t4/t3? T3 is ideally taken over 4-6 doses per day to work as natural t3 would due to its short halflife. Also, there's a huge range of sups/vits required to support your adrenals and top up the essentials needed to keep you healthy. Do you know what your iron levels are? They play a huge role, especially with t3.

How long have you stayed on this same dose for? You should be able to feel an increase a 'wellness' within a day due to its previously mentioned short halflife so staying on too low a dose for too long can also be detrimental.

How long have you been off t4? Did you come off and stay off t4/t3 for as long as poss before starting t3 only. T4 takes approx. 6 weeks to come out of your system and stop affecting your rt3 so this clean break from t4 is recommended.

If you do one thing in your hell of thyroid disease, it should be buying 'recovering with t3' by Paul Robinson. It's an absolute fountain of knowledge and people who stick to this regime, rigidly, talk of feeling like they're 'cured'.

Btw, I did ok on NDT 'thyroid-S' for about 6 months, better than the 5 years of t4 but still didn't feel anywhere near as good as I should. yet, there's many people who do amazingly well on NDT, everyone's different. Sorry I can't be of more help x
