Got my final results this morning from a couple of weeks ago

Magnesium 0.87 (0.70 - 1.00)

Selenium 1.72 (0.90 - 1.70)

Serum Zinc 11.9 (11.00-24.00

Was in a terrible anxious panicky shaky state again this morning after I thought I was turning a corner last week in feeling better. He has also given me some beta blockers (2 twice daily) but I am only taking one at a time

Thoughts please

Jefner, Zinc is low so you could supplement 15mg zinc. Zinc is synergistic with magnesium so supplement 350-375mg magnesium (not oxide which is hard to absorb) when supplementing zinc. Your serum mag result is fine but it's not a useful test as it gives no indication of the mag available at a cellular level. Soil is so mag depleted most of us are likely to have cellular magnesium deficiency and will benefit from supplementing. Magnesium is also available as an oil to spray on feet and legs and via Epsom salt baths. Mag may help relax you and reduce some the anxiety you experience.

There are some links re high serum selenium below. You are mildly over range, it's probably nothing to be concerned about. If you supplement selenium reduce the dose.

thank you honey. My blood kit has arrived so will hopefully be getting results for that at the weekend. With the symptoms I am having I am wondering if I am still slightly overmedicating as rather than take the 100/125mcg alternate days I have just been taking 125mcg. Am looking forward to seeing my antibody readings, hope to God they are lower than the 4,000 in early December


As regards Selenium I haven't supplemented so I wonder why my readings are high?

Been reading up on which zinc to take.

Chelated or Orotate?

cheapskate hahhahahahhaa. Tthink I will try a lowish dose of around 100mg magnesium and 10mg Zinc. Checked the safe levels on the NHS website and around what you said for magnesium is fine but knowing how I was on the B12, might be safer to start low :) cus I can always double up on it if it suits me. I am also taking ferrous sulphate at the moment so will need to take the mag and zinc well apart from that

What with the B complex, Fish Oil with Omega 3 and Vit D3, I am gonna rattle soon lol
