I have the fingerprick test kit and wandered if someone can help with a couple of queries please.
I normally take my Levo in the evening - do I leave this evenings dose out as I intend to take the blood test tomorrow morning?
I normally have my breakfast at around 6.30am so would it be ok to take the test, say, around about 9.00am? It doesn't say anything on the test kit about fasting so assuming it is ok to have breakfast as normal?
Would I then have to wait until tomorrow evening before taking my normal dose of Levo?
Many thanks for your input

I used to do the test as soon as the alarm went off in the morning - that was about 05.30, after I did it I used to take my Levo. I never ate before I took the test.
What would happen if you left your night time the levo - set your clock and did the test very early - say 05.00 then took your Levo and had breakfast an hour afterwards?
I'm not taking meds any more - I'm in remission from Graves but I imagine someone who is still taking Levo and taking it at night will come along with a suggestion.
Hannah, skip this evening's dose and take it after the blood test tomorrow morning. TSH drops after food and drink so I would do the blood test before breakfast. You can take Levothyroxine one hour before breakfast or two hours after breakfast.

Thanks Clutter and Fruitandnutcase for your replies.
Is it still ok to take another dose of Levo tomorrow evening when i would normally take it - being that i would have had a morning dose as well ? I am doing the thyroid 10 so hoping i will get enough blood out.
