Saw Dr P last week. Have stopped levothyroxine and been on Nutri Adrenal Extra for 4 days taking one tablet. I feel awful, wired but still really weak, headache, restless, can't sleep and palpitations. I'll phone Dr P on Monday and only take half tomorrow. Anyone else had similar experience? x

Lainey03, NAX is too strong for some. If 1/2 NAX isn't an improvement you might try Nutri-Adrenal. Ask Dr.P how long he wants you to stop Levothyroxine when you speak to him.

I've been off levothyroxine for 13 days before I started the NAX. Dr P said to start it again in a week when I start the Nutri Thyroid.

Yes. If we've been on levo he asks us to stop for 10 days, (T4 takes about 4 to 6 weeks to diminish) so it gives NAX a little time. If you're feeling to unwell, and cannot contact him by phone you might have to make your own decision.

Others who have followed his procedure will also comment.

I had the same problem under dr P s guidance and couldn't tolerate NAX . I swapped to Thorne cortex adrenal and still am taking it . It seems that some people cant tolerate the adrenaline in the whole adrenal so by taking the cortex only you do better.

Just my experience !

Thanks for your comments/advice. I'm taking half NAX and palpitations have stopped. Just have to see if I can increase dose. x
