Hi Pinkstar, hissing and pitch noises in the ears, can be a symptom of Thyroid issues. Are you Hypo or Hyperthyroid? Inflamed Joints, can also be a symptom. I know your Dr said wastage, however check for Thyroid antibodies. I had terrible pains in my joints, I feel for you.

Oh Pinkstar, I'm sorry to hear you are feeling so awful. Sounds like you have tinnitus which is horrible but there are things that can be done for it - here is a link to the Britsh Tinnitus Association tinnitus.org.uk/treatment

Again your thyroid could be causing your muscle problems or it could even be some form of arthritis that you have and you an be treated for that too. I've just been diagnosed with inflammatory arthritis, I thought at first my thyroid was underachieving and that was causing the pain and lack of movement but it turned out not to be. Again there are lots of things that can be done for that too, y should not have to suffer. You could even get a medical referral to your local gym for exercise to help your muscles and if you are depressed it will help that too.

I thin your doctor needs to do more for you, it can be very difficult to push for treatment when you are feeling really low. Is there anyone - family or friend who could go and support you when you go back to see the GP? It might even be worth seeing a different (more sympathetic) doctor in the same practise.

So sorry you feel that bad. Someone's posted an article about zinc deficiency which mentions it can cause ringing in the ears - worth exploring?
