After my GP dropped my Levo down from 125mcg to 100mcg a few weeks back, and feeling awful I'm actually feeling better. I. Due a blood test in about four weeks..
The issue is that now That my hands feel really fatigued, with a horrible achy pain in my wrists that radiates into the back of my hand and fingers.. kind of the feeling you get if you have been out shopping all day and your feet ache/hurt, or wearing too higher heels, but on my hands. Sometime my feet are like it too, but nothing compared to my hands.
When I was first diagnosed as being hypo, I got this pain often, but as the GP up'd my lovo dose it got better. At the time I challenge them about it, but was told its unrelated, which it clearly is, and told to take paracetamol as I can't take ibrubrophen..
If anybody has any ideas as to what, or if there is anything I can do about it would be really good, as it is beginning to impact on everyday tasks and work, and can't live on pain killers 24/7.

It sounds like Carpal Tunnel syndrome which is also a symptom of hypo. Some people get it too who aren't hypo. Maybe your GP will consider adding a little T3 seeing he's reduced levo.
Getting an appointment out of my doctor is like trying to get blood out of a stone, and this morning when I popped in to get my repeat prescription, they flat refused to give me a copy of my last bloods, saying it was not their policy and I would have to make an appointment! They have never tested my t3, and I doubt that they would agree to do it.
I am seriously beginning to think I may need to move surgerys
By law we are entitled to a copy of our tests. My surgery has no problems and charges 30p. Maybe if you don't want to phone your GP drop a note asking him to o.k. any requests for your blood test results as you now want to keep a personal record of them. Some labs wont do T3 even if GP requests if the TSH and T4 are in range.
I eat very little sugar in my diet, and have cut back on my gluten in take to maybe 2or 3 times a week as I find it upsets my stomach, and have been doing this for some time. So I'm not sure it will work, but will cut it out all together for a couple of weeks and see what happens.
I would get a book on the subject so that you really know what contains gluten and what contains sugar (carb). For example, I had to stop drinking low carb beer and bananas.
Also, there are certain vitamins you must take on this kind of diet, like potassium to prevent leg cramps and magnesium for sleep and to have regular bowel movements.
I don't know if you can get it in England, but I just went off Levi and am now on Nature-throid 100mg. Which is T1-T4. This is like Armour but better. My temp is now 98.6 and I've lost 7 pounds. My pro biotic is called Gastrocare, and I buy it from the doctor.
Read that you can't take ibuprofen... neither can I! Both Ibuprofen and aspirin (to a lesser extent) cause a strong enough allergic reaction to require hospital treatment.
I thought it was just me
And yes I get achy hands and feet too, they swell up if I've been too active... assumed it was a fibro symptom, but on reflection it looks like most things could be attributed to hypo throid
I'm not really allergic, ibruprophen causes me to get lesions on my oesophagus along with vinegar which rules out lots of thing that are good to eat. It can cause the most horrible pain... But as with most things it would appear the consultant I saw over a few months couldn't tell me why this happens....
As to my hands and feet, they were definitely better when I was on the higher levo dose, but my GP won't have it that it's related to being hypo!
So along with rubbish hands I can't have vinegar on my chips, just have to sniff the bottle!!
