Guysgrams, doesn't look to me like you've a conversion issue. FT3 is well over halfway through range, and only slightly shy of the top third of range. There is room to increase dose which will boost FT4 and FT3 and probably suppress TSH.

I read my FT3 on low end 2.6(2.3-4.6) Total T3 is more like in the middle 1.08 (.60-1.81). I am some what concerned about the T4 as it was high last lab and again this lab even higher. TSH is now suppressed in a result that is more with how it used to be for me at .525 (.350-5.50). My TPO has come down some from 517 to 461 so going the right way there. Shouldn't the FT3 be more in the middle to upper end to be good?
Guysgrams, I apologise, I confused FT4 and FT3 results. It's low TSH, high FT4 and low FT3 which indicate conversion issues. I think you may be a little undermedicated.
FT4 is a little low if you are taking Levothyroxine only. You will need it >1.54, possibly top of the range, to convert sufficient T3. If you are taking NDT you need to increase dose until FT3 is >3.5, FT4 will be lower in range when taking NDT or T3.

No problem. At the moment I am only taking Synthroid. My dose was increased in July from .125 to .137 because my labs from the past three times showed it fluctuating from 1.77-3.10. I could not get my PCP to do anything other than refer me to an Endo and I was ARMED with results from lab tests along with the fact I have been on this journey for over 20 years. Endo did listen and upped meds. I do feel better, however, feel I am not at my optimal, don't even know what that is anymore. We'll see what she says this time around when I give her the latest results. She did say last time if I wasn't feeling good she would consider adding the T3 to my medication. Not sure if she will remember that but we'll see. Thanks.
