Sweating with Ai
I get hot sweats too. I'm only 33 do doubt it's the change. I wrote a pot on it the other day. You will be able to have a look at my older posts
Sometimes it may mean we are on a little to much thyroid hormones. Have you taken your temp when this happens and make a record about 3 times a day - take your pulse too.
As your heart is also 'fluttering' I would be apt to reduce my dose slightly to see if that has a calming effect and helps with the sweating.
Im only on HC. And it was doing prior to this but not as often. Im on 60 HC but reduced it to 40 today and its worse.
According to this link it is a side-effect of HC. I would phone your doctor's surgery and ask for him to phone you for some advice. Tell the receptionist you are having an awful time and would like to speak to GP.
Thanks. Have an appt in about 7hrs (its now after 1am here) so will hold out to see him. Going to be a long appt!! Haha. I dont know what the heck is going on. Been hypoing (diabetes) then high and then the heart and blah blah blah. All mixed up into several things..hopefully he will have idea.
I have this same thing going on at the moment but I'm 52 and the doctors are apt to blame my age and post menopause for this which I'm sure isn't the case for me either. I saw a new GP yesterday who put me to one of his final year medical students as a "complex case". He came in afterwards and heard her account of things and told me to go for an ECG. I had to drive for 40 minutes just to be told once again that I have ectopic beats which are benign.
My personal theory is that it is autonomic neuropathy because I also have severe parasthesia/ small fiber neuropathy in my legs, hands and mouth. I don't think they (GP or neurologist) know anything much about this condition - which can be part of autoimmunity/ connective tissue disease/ systemic inflammatory process. I asked the neurophysiologist and she said there are no tests for this in Scotland where I live. There should be a sweat test which measures the body's response to temperature changes as they use in some places.
So I'm gradually researching dysautomia as I have RA, Sjogrens and hypothyroidism and once off all drugs I've been put on (to exclude these as possible culprits) I'm going to try and find a natural solution with the help of a functional medic/ naturopath. No funds to pay for this just now so will have to wait and sit out the sweats and icy cold wet sensations and heart palpitations by doing yoga and eating as wholesomely as I already do.
Get an ECG done just to make sure there's nothing wrong with your heart I would say.
hi dee2382 did you ever get anywhere with your thyroid/adrenal situation? 🙏🏻🙂
