A friend suggested I take Reverse T3 only for a while. My last lab test in March 2012 was~ T3 Reverse was 17.9 and my FreeT4 was 0.92. Do people who only take T3 never NDT with it? I am confused. Is there a natural form or T3? I also have high cholesterol and slightly low adrenals (I have been tested). I read in the book. Stop The Thyroid Madness that taking T3 could lower cholesterol- that I am interested in and of course feeling better.
What is the T3 Circadian Method.: A friend... - Thyroid UK
What is the T3 Circadian Method.
Hello JulieNYC,
Welcome to our forum and sorry to hear you are obviously not feeling well.
Reverse T3 is not a medication but a measurement of the T4 thyroid hormone that is not converted into active T3.
T3 is a thyroid hormone and low levels can be replaced with medication.
The Circadian method is a protol using T3 thyroid hormone replacement. By using the natural circadian rhythm as a guide as to when to dose, it is thought to address adrenal issues and other hormone problems that follow this 24 hour pattern.
There is a book called " The CT3M Handbook by Paul Robinson which explains the whole protocol and which I found very interesting.
Can you please supply your TSH, T 4 and T3 thyroid hormone test results complete with ranges ( numbers in brackets) for members to comment.
People have different needs regarding thyroid meds and various replacements can be taken alone or together.
