25mcg T3 tablets available online anywhere at the moment?

I am attempting to take the 75mcg triyotex ones sublingually three times a day, but I'm finding it impossible to control my dosage. This morning I attempted to tip a little under my tongue, but the whole capsule emptied, and I didn't want to spit it out and waste it.

I would appreciate PMs if anyone has a supplier!!

75mcg x 3 per day = 225mcg T3 per day = 675mcg T4 (assuming T3 is 3 times as potent as T4)

This is a ludicrous amount to be taking, and it may even be deadly. Or have I misunderstood your post?

Reading back it isn't very clear! No, I take (ideally) 1 75mcg capsule a day, emptied and divided into three, but it's hard to divide it correctly, so I'm looking for T3 in 25mcgs hopefully, or 50mcg tablets that I could split.

Ah, that makes more sense :D

As I understand it, Triyotex is sustained release tablets so theoretically you should be able to take one tablet once a day and that should deliver the same amount as 3x25mcg tablets. Of course, we all know it's not as simple as that!

Hopefully someone will be able to contact you with somewhere to purchase.

On a side note, have you been significantly better on T3? If so, it may be worth seeing your GP so he can see. I went to see my GP after not seeing him for 3 years (haven't needed to since being on T3). Despite having 'flu, a sinus infection, high temperature etc, he could see how much better I was on T3. He has been supportive ever since. It might be worth a try. You never know, if you have proven you are well on T3 you may be able to convince them to prescribe it :)

That is a lot but some people with thyroid hormone resistance do require such doses but I do share your concern. That is a lot of T3!

I'm not sure if the OP actually meant that they are trying to take 75mcg split into three doses through the day. That would make more sense and would explain why they are having so much difficulty regulating the dose. But it does read like 75mcg three times a day!

GentleOrange, please can you clarify what your daily dosage is to alleviate our concerns. Thanks :)

I have just read this about Triyotex (Cynomel) and you say you are taking it sublingually. But thyroid hormones are too large to be taken sublingually under tongue. This is an excerpt:-

To explore the issue further, Geri Rybacki, Executive Director of the Coalition for Better Thyroid Care and I both talked to a variety of doctors, drug companies and other experts, to get a sense of the professional perspective on the issue.

"The consensus? The active ingredients in thyroid medication have molecules that are so large that it is difficult for them to pass through the mucous membranes. Most of the dissolved/crushed medication ends up swallowed, and moves through the digestive system in the usual way. Other factors also affect sublingual absorption, including oral pH, and salivary enzymes."

So you may not be getting the appropriate amount you believe as thyroid hormones should be taken on an empty stomach with a glass of water.

I do not split my dose of T3 and am well and I also know the exact amount being absorbed. Also I'm able to have a life by once daily dosing and because I'm well I can forget anything hypo.

I do know some prefer splitting doses.

I used to take mine all in one go many years ago and was also fine with that. I can't now though. I think that my adrenals are just too fragile now :( I only need to split my 100mcg into two doses though so that isn't so bad :)
