Hi all
Having been hypo for 22 year I am looking at alternatives to Levo. Has anyone taken thyroid Energy before? If so how did you get on and did you take it as well as other thyroid mess or stop them altogether
Many thanks

Hi Lorr, why not try another form of thyroid hormone? I did find after many years on Armour I had to double my dose. There are also other options. You could also just add T3 to your T4. Are you in the UK? People can recommend privately other avenues to take.
Hi Heloise
Mum on Levo T4 and also 15mcg (a day) T3 but still feel sluggish all time that's not to mention all the other complaints weight gain brain fog etc... It's hard to know what to do. I did ask for natural thyroid but they wouldn't give it x
I really prefer NDT to levo which is only a prehormone anyway. There are some NDTs you can acquire yourself. Perhaps you and your mother both should try them although your adrenals may need support as well.
Lorr67, Thyroid Energy is a supplement, not a replacement for Levothyroxine and T3.
If you post your recent thyroid results with lab ref ranges members will advise whether you are optimally medicated.
Thyroid Energy contains a lot of iodine, which might make you feel much better in the short term, but no knowing what it's going to do long-term. It all dépends why you are hypo, and what sort of state your gland is in. It also contains folic acid, which is bad for some people. It also contains zinc, but zinc needs to be taken with vit D3 and magnesium, which are missing. All in all, I Don't think this supplement is very well conceived. I wouldn't take it.
