Just had a quick phone call to the health centre.. TSH is 0.01 & free t4 is 14 .. I've been taking 4 grains of thai thyroid & feeling much better .. I'm gutted that my doc wants me to reduce .. I don't have overactive symptoms!!.. I'll pick up a printout later!

You don't have to reduce although he might think he is 'protecting' you. They don't realise if we don't have sufficient hormones that, too, can lead to more symptoms and still being unwell. They have a fixation with the TSH but if you feel fine and no overstimulation, don't alter your dose.

Thank you for your reply .. I realy needed to hear that from someone.. I still get stiff & ache, more aware of my heartbeat, but my pulse is 70-75 & feeling comfortable & not cold!

Rudegirl, GP is probably alarmed by the suppressed TSH. Unless FT4 is considerably over range you aren't overmedicated.

Then use the broken record method and keep stating yu are fine on your current dose till he/she backs down (and they will).
