Thank you for posting this grey.
I'm so pleased that I took the very expensive decision to have a mouthful of amalgams removed. Brain fog disappeared thank goodness and to be able to hold a conversation, or indeed write meaningful words, meant that self-confidence slowly returned. Antibodies reduced too.
Hi - I was ahead of my time - I had this done 15 years ago and it reversed my Lupus positive blood tests. Thanks for the document I will take to my Lupus consultant and Thyroid Endo.
That's great, PT! I've had amalgams since I was a small child - a mouthful of them! Goodness knows what they did to me. All gone now - along with my teeth!
grey - in the 70's dentists earned their money by quantity of fillings etc regardless of whether they needed them. Every tooth of mine was filled, some of the fillings were massive blobs due to lazy dentists not taking pride in their work. Other people of my age (50's) that I speak with say the same.
I honestly believe it was part of the picture for me, along with over 20 years of tramping around the countryside being exposed to goodness knows what that was being sprayed by huge farm machinery in fields.
Yes, I remember someone saying that before - you? Don't remember. But I think they must have done that to me, but they didn't do it to my brother. Why? Or why not? He hasn't got a filling in his head although he never has looked after his teeth.
I remember my childhood dentist. And his nurse. Right pair of sadists. Never smiled. Used to drag kids screaming into the surgery, leaving all the other quaking with fear. The stuff of nightmares!
Great result posthinking01!
Well, I haven't got any left because vitually all my teeth have gone. But I haven't noticed much improvement. I want to get rid of the remaining teeth regardless, before they start crumbling, as I know they will. I refuse to have anymore fillings of any sort! But my dentist doesn't agree... Another battle brewing!
I've considered this several times, but just don't see how I can afford the £1000s involved, esp as I'd have to travel a long way too.
I know. It's terrible, isn't it. They ruin our health, and then ruin our bank balance to cure it! It's a lose lose situation.
Angel - it's a serious undertaking especially as one needs to factor in extra supplements before and during the procedure. I spent 6 months having amalgams removed and had to travel some distance. Still use the dentist too.
How much did it cost you? The minimum distance I'd have to travel is 100 miles each way.
After removing a a filing and leaving broken bits in jaw for months n repeated root treatment on same tooth, this is when I went hypo. Also need severe amount horrible tablets to remove parasite n I'd nit been anyway get this, I've still got some but dentist says let's not touch till we have to, I want then gone I now pay when fill with white filling even though I have exemption, cause it was me privately found I had high Mercury allergy n poisoning. The dentist said if NHS found it THEY cover cost but cause I had find out what caused this over night, THRY took all on board but u so right they POISION in our mouths, I'm going for rest out, when u say prepare supplement s what kind do u mean please let me know x
Did I say that? I Don't remember, and I can't find where I said it. I Don't know what suppléments you would need in this case.
Sorry I picked it up that before went threw would need prepare body thought word used was supplements, is there any products or something can take so don't react when Mercury leaks to system be it small I can't take risk being locked up in physiatrist ward single mum 4 kids like last time n then found it made me go under active, can I actually cure my hashimotos if this was cause by removing the rest x
I'm sorry, I really Don't know anything about it. Maybe one of the other posters mentioned suppléments. Have a read through them all.
I just posted the article because I thought it would interest people, not because I know about it.
All my amalgams are gone now, because I've lost all my teeth due to Hashi's! So, it doesn't even concern me anymore.
However, the mercury may be gone, but I still have Hashi's!

Ummm... Are you asking me if losing my teeth has had a postive effect on my Hashi's? No. It didn't. Hashi's just carried on getting worse.
When you say you can't get stable, do you mean your TSH keeps going up and down?
Yes it's went to best 1.3 when pregnant but jumps between 5.5 which I'm really ill at with tinutis,no sleep and we'll u know the rest but my low cortisol reading when given shortinacting test is low that also corrected when pregnancy, weight loss no bowel movements hair loss, mood anxiety which always had can't deal stress but have so much off it. Love to know if the hashimotos could be dealt with better, also interactions with other meds in past went from 225 to 75 in 14 days coming off opioid meds, just been thinking if I try increase pregnancy hormones will it help when not pregnant.
