The whole thing started in September when I went to the doctors as I was very tired, I had high levels of thyrpid antibodies. They sent me for a scan and I had a nodule in the left side, I then had a biopsy which came back at grade 3!(strangely my sister had the exact same thing! And both of ours were benign we found out when they came out!) So I had to have surgery, it's 6 weeks post op now (my left vocal fold in paralysed from the op). I now feel very tired, my hair is coming out, I am covered in spots and I have big black bags under my eyes, I also feel very emotional and down. I am seeing my consultant Friday for blood test results.
Has anyone else experienced this after the op? I'm not sure if it's just recovering from the op or my right side not coping on its own?

Sophiejfisher, recovery from hemilobectomy should take a couple of weeks. I think it is likely your remaining thyroid isn't producing enough hormone and you need some Levothyroxine. Ask your consultant for a copy of your results with the lab ref ranges and post them in a new question and members will advise.
Ask your GP or endo to test ferritin, vitamin D, B12 and folate as low/deficient levels are common in hypothyroid patients and present musculoskeletal pain, fatigue and low mood similar to hypothyroid symptoms.
When I had half my thyroid out, I experienced very hypothyroid symptoms. Mainly weakness and cognitive solutions like confusion confusion and the room spinning. I was told about 10% of patients can't manage on just half a thyroid - of course my clinician bandied this number about as if it was vanishingly low!
