My pharmacy has just told me they only have half my prescription in stock and the manufacturers - Mercury - have told them they have stopped making them at the moment. Has anyone else had problems?

I cannot answer your question but if that's the case, the MHRA should make arrangements and allow GPs to prescribe an alternative, which many refuse to do - leaving the patients high and dry as there is only one licenced T3 in the UK.

I wasn't aware that there is an alternative?

Cursor down to non-uk T3. The doctor would have to make the prescription on a 'named-patient basis'.

Thanks for your reply Shaws. I bought some t3 when I was in Crete last year and have used it for a couple of days. May be I am imagining but I didn't feel too well whilst I was using it. Has anyone else found this?

I use it and have had no problems at all. In fact it might sound strange but I 'love' it as it makes me feel very healthy and symptom free.

See what the MHRA did and said in 2013:

Hi there, that is interesting as the last prescription of T3 my husband picked up for me was not in it's usual white container and had no expiry date on it or patient leaflet, giving the impression they were just loose ones counted out into a brown container.I will make enquiries of my pharmacist.

Please do ask.

[There seems to be no excuse for batch number and expiry date not being put onto absolutely ALL prescribed medicines. In my opinion, it should be a legal and ethical requirement.]

I definitely will.I have just re checked the bottle and there is no batch number either.
