Hi all - just wondering if anyone can recommend a good pill cutter for small tablets? I know some people have said some are better than others.

Mine is labelled 'Safe+sound' and works well. I got it from my local chemist. The one I had before had a crooked blade and was useless.

I find if I gently push it far enough for the pill to start to crack, then stop, I get 2 halves with very few crumbs.

Misty, I use Pillmate around £2.99 from a high street pharmacy. I have been able to quarter a Levothyroxine tablet fairly evenly and don't often have trouble evenly splitting pills in half.

Thanks for posting and the replies. I was offered choice of two locally and took the one pharmacist recommended but it's not brilliant, can't remember what it was called but will now look out for those brands.

I find the H&B one good.

Apex, Ultra Pill Splitter. The best I've found so far.

Ii use a scalpel to cut ndt and it is 100x better than various pill cutters which were useless
