Results were- 3.4 (3.5-6.5) Ferritin was low. 83920-291) so I supplemented that and increased my T3.
However I feel worse than ever. Why?? I feel like I am living with a permanent virus. Trying (to the best of my ability ) to do the AIP diet, and have been on that for over 3 months. Still have unsightly face rash and styes in my eyes. Hair gradually growing back but it's very thin.
What a mess!!!!
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Everdean, You're feeling bad because T3 is below range. It's lack of T3 which causes hypothyroid symptoms. You've done what's needed by increasing your T3 dose but you should have another FT3 test in 6/8 weeks because you may need to increase dose again. You probably need FT3 >5.0 before most symptoms resolve and you feel well.
Ferritin 83 isn't bad but around half way in range is optimal so supplementing will help. Take each iron tablet with 500mg-1,000mg vitamin C to aid absorption and mitigate constipation.
