HELP!!
I have all the symptoms of hypothyroidism however my GP says my blood tests are normal, is there anything else I can do to see if it is my thyroid that is making me feel so unwell?

Get your test results ( you are entitled to a copy or can access them online in the UK) and post them here. Often what is 'normal' to your GP is anything but
Sorry meant TSH
Nanajayney,
TSH 0.92 is low-normal and rules out primary hypothyroidism. T4 14.5 is usually in range but as ranges differ from area to area you would have to get the lab ref range to be sure.
Thank you for your reply, I will ask the GP for the lab test range. Do you think it would be worth having a private blood test done or am I being a little bit dramatic?
For full evaluation you ideally need TSH, FT4, FT3, TT4, TPO and TG antibodies, plus vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 tested
Very important to test antibodies, if high this is Hashimoto's also called autoimmune thyroid disease. You can have high antibodies and completely normal TSH, FT4 and FT3
See if you can get full thyroid and vitamin testing from GP. Unlikely to get FT3
Private tests are available

Medichecks Thyroid plus ultra vitamin or Blue Horizon Thyroid plus eleven are the most popular choice. DIY finger prick test or option to pay extra for private blood draw. Both companies often have money off offers.
All thyroid tests should be done as early as possible in morning and fasting. This gives highest TSH and most consistent results
