Short period of T3 problems.

Mistimed my order of NDT and subsequently ran out for a few weeks.

Boy! What a bloody nightmare. I forgot how bad things were on T3. Joint pain began to prevail. Joints I'd never had a problem with began to ache. Especially in the damp weather, it was awful. Headaches started a few days ago, have taken 4 paracetamol today alone.

I think I have absorption issues with T3. It seems to irritate my bowel (tried T4, ballooned up with water retention in six weeks) .My IBS is back with vengeance, slight weight gain, achy, tired etc, Anyone else have T3 irritation?

Just had my NDT arrived today, so back on the good stuff! The great irony is having free prescription s and having to fund my NDT myself. It is worth it though, Bye ,bye aches, IBS, weight yo-yo. I never knew having my thyroid removed would have so many issues. :(

Hi Real Mission, can I ask what NDT you are on? I have just ordered Thyroid-S and can't wait to be shot of these under(non)medicated symptoms, which I have had for the past 4 years while on The rubbish Levothyroxine available in this country since Goldshield Eltroxin has been taken off the market. I had a sub-total thyroidectomy in 1978 and suffered without any medication until June 1997, so know what Hypo symptoms are, and I definitely have them now. Glad you've got the proper stuff now and am sure you won't be forgetting them again eh!

Hi RM, Good to hear good results of Thyroid-S. It seems to have a good name on this site. Thank you for your confirmation of this medication.
