Feeling really unwell.

I have been suffering for the past few days feeling feverish and aching everywhere.

I cancelled Endo appointment as couldn't face the trek to the hospital today.

I have Parkinson and was diagnosed hyperthyroid November last year. I am on 5mg reduced from 20mg originally of Carbimazol and told I am euthyroid now. I have gradually begun to feel worse over the these past months and I have no faith in my consultant.

Now my Parkinsons seems worse with shakes or is it thyroid? My balance has worsened the last couple of days.

I am beginning to feel desperate for answers. Feel so sick of feeling unwell.

Always feeling cold. I was fine until this diagnosis and tablets.

Any thought or advice welcome.

My last blood results 29th August.

TSH. 1.57 mU/L. 0.350-4.94

Free T3. 3.9. pmol/l. 2.6- 5.7

Free T4. 14.2. pmol/l. 9.0- 19.0

Those results show you are tending towards hypo, so I would try stopping the carb and see what happens. Do you have your original results? I have seen a significant minority of people who are told they are hyper when, in fact, they are hypo.

Cicely, can you reduce your Carbimazole to 2.5mcg or discuss with your GP/endo stopping and trying for a period of remission. I agree with Rosetrees, you look like you are going hypo.

Thank you for your reply. If you look at my previous posts you will see I was admitted to hospital Nov 2013 when I became dehydrated from being sick after taking Trimethoprim. They told me I was hyperthyroid and gave me 20mg Carbimazole. Until then I felt well, I feel as if I have gone downhill healthwise ever since.

This is not the first time since diagnosis that I have felt wretched. I feel as if going on the medication has ruined my health.

The first results I got were 30th Jan

TSH. 1.71. mU/L. 0.350 - 4.94

Free T3. 4.7. pmol/l 2.6 - 5.7

Free T4. 14. 3 pmol/1. 9.0 - 19. 0

After that result he told me to reduce tablets to 10mg

Would like your thoughts.

Thank you

Cicely

Hi Clutter seriously thinking about it now.

The past few days I've felt like putting them down the loo

My little grandson by the way, had a 5 hour op on his heart and is doing really well.

He's a real little fighter and at home with mummy and daddy and little sister. :-)
