Thyroid UK and this HealthUnlocked forum do not sell medicines. (Thyroid UK sells a few small items for fund raising but it is a charity, not a business.)

Afraid I do not know who would supply someone in India with desiccated thyroid.

Natural Dessicated Thyroid - it is the product that was used from the very beginning until they developed the Levothyroxine or T4. It was made from Pigs thyroid and contained all the hormones a thyroid produces - T4 - T3 - T2 - T1 and Calcitonin - which is involved in bone production.... It is not prescribed in the UK except by a prescription written by your GP and then you can buy it yourself from certain pharmacies. There is information regarding this on the main Thyroid UK website - thyroiduk.org.uk Many people feel so much better on it than other products. I personally have not tried it as I have found T3 has suited me - so far anyway.

thanks everyone my endocrine has given me t3, which I do not find suits me, I had thyroidectomy 2 years ago and still dont feel well, not sleeping, water retention and feeling very unwell

How long have you been using T3?

Certainly worth raising your ongoing unwellness with your Endo. It's quite unusual for a British Endo to be that open to T3 treatment. Was it difficult to get that underway? I take you tried Levothyroxine and didn't get on with that? Your Endo can prescribe on a 'named patient' basis for Armour or similar.

using t3 2 to 3 months Im on 125 levothyroxine daily. I will ring endo this week re NDT
