Does Cortisol help to push T3 into cells?

I believe high cortisol impairs NDT effectiveness. I believe I have low cortisol during the day and high in the evening and at night. Due to a particularly stressfull period I started taking half a capsule of Seriphos a day but I just read that cortisol helps push T3 into the cells.

cc, this is what Stop the Thyroid Madness says regarding cortisol and T3:

Additionally, dysfunctional adrenal/hpa axis can result in high amounts of thyroid hormones to build in the blood (which we call pooling), making your free T3 labs look high in range with continuing hypo symptoms, or causing hyper-like symptoms from excess adrenaline on doses of desiccated thyroid which shouldn’t produce those symptoms. The latter can include anxiety or nervousness, light-headedness, shakiness, dizziness, racing heart, sudden weakness, nausea, feeling hot, or any symptom which seems like an over-reaction to desiccated thyroid, but are in reality the result of low cortisol, or a mix of high and low in the early stages of sluggish adrenal function. Low cortisol can also keep you hypothyroid with hypo symptoms.

Thank you very much Heloise, I will need to read the post again and link again, as a bit befuddled today. As I have low cortisol during morning, afternoon, but high late evening and night. Should I take Hydrocortisone, prednisolone or isocort. Should I be taking Seriphos to control high cortisol periods or is this knocking back my day, afternoon cortisol as well?

How does a mix of high and low cortisol (high adrenaline) effect NDT efficacy?

Hi cc, Read the paragraphs with the heading of "stress" and "reverse T3". It's hard to follow everything but you may get the idea. nahypothyroidism.org/thyroi...

Do the directions for Seriphos say to take one pill at dinner? That makes me think it is concentrating on night time cortisol. I don't know enough about it to deduce exactly what it is doing to the adrenal output which may affect that.
