Susiebow, 38 is quite low and 'insufficient'. Optimal is 75-200. I'd recommend vitD3 5,000iu softgel caps daily for a month or two to build your vitD and then 5,000iu alternate days. Health food shops and Amazon are good sources. thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/go_sho...

Hi,, assuming that's in nmols,, that's the insufficient range,, ideally you want to be above that,, nhs range mainly only seeks to pick up bone affecting deficiencies but for general health, you want it above 75 as mentioned. I got mine up really well from exactly same level as yours to over 100 on only 3000 a day,, everyone is different though ..
